Vintage Striped Cardigan

The wonderful thing about vintage knitting patterns is that they are free to post to the web. I have several old books I'm scanning in and will post here.

Free Knitting Patterns Fatigue Hat

This is a brilliant Vintage pattern from the 40's collection from Essentials for the Forces. This timeless design is a long tube sewn together at each end. It can then be folded inside itself, and the brim turned up for a hat, or it can be used as a scarf or face warmer. Totally versatile!

To knit you will need about 4 ounces of super thin fingering yarn to give 7 sts to 1 inch gauge. Cast on 111 sts. Divide onto three double pointed needles and knit stockinette st (around and around) until tube is 36 inches long. Cast off, and neatly sew both ends together. Now have some fun folding it up in different ways!
